How Religion is Like the IRS!
How do you think people feel about the IRS? I can tell you the answer: People don’t love the IRS. It’s intimating—it wields unrestrained power, and you have no recourse—it’s virtually impossible to fight back.
Let’s be honest, a lot of us have the same experience with religion. Hurt so badly by manipulative false teaching given with unrestrained power, and then told it’s just the way it is.
We feel like we have no recourse, like we can’t fight back.
But beloved, we can! You can! Let’s talk about this false narrative and how we can respond.
